Tillandsia, commonly known as air plants, are special botanical curiosities can be found in jungles, rain forests and deserts. An epiphytic species, air plants do not require soil, as water and food that can be absorbed through their leaves directly. When happy, your Tillandsia will flower!

Easy to care for, and look great in a multitude of settings and love humidity, so consider placing in a bathroom or kitchen window (indirect light), and the steam/moisture will keep them happy Tillandsia prefer BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT.

LOCATION & LIGHT:

Tillandsia prefer bright indirect light, so it’s best to place them close to a window wth bright ambient light. Direct sun can cause burning.

WATER:

1-2 times per week, place the plants face down in a bowl, sink, or container and lets soak for 10-20 minutes.  Always take care to gently shake any excess water off the base of the plants, as sitting water can cause rot and damage/kill the plant. Tillandsia are sensitive to chlorine in tap water, so it’s best to let the water stand for several hours to dissipate any chemicals prior to watering the plants.
