ALOCASIA 'HILO BEAUTY' 8" Grower Pot (2' 5" tall)
Though its exact classification has been subject to some debate in the plant world, this spotted beauty is a relative of both Alocasia and Caladium, and displays traits of both. With it's not-so-subtle speckling in varying hues of dark and light green, this plant is a showstopper who refuses to be overlooked.
LOCATION AND LIGHT:
Similar to the majority of its Alocasia cousins, the Hilo Beauty is best suited to BRIGHT INDIRECT light. The leaves of this plant are somewhat delicate and may scorch if exposed to prolonged direct sun, but alocasia will not tolerate low light. East-facing and West-facing windows provide ideal light for this species.
WATER:
Alocasia are humidity lovers and will benefit from regular misting. Evenly moist soil is ideal, and these plants appreciate a thorough watering when the first 1-2 inches of soil is dry to the touch. Allow excess water to drain to prevent root rot!
