With purple and green spear-shaped leaves, Alocasia is rare and highly sought after for its unique look. These striking plants love humidity and lots of indirect bright light though they can burn if in contact with intense direct sunlight.

LOCATION AND LIGHT:

Alocasia prefer bright indirect light, and won’t tolerate low light conditions. Be wary of placing your plant in direct sun, as this will scorch the leaves. They do best set back from an east or west exposure, or close to a bright window with sheers.

WATER:

Keep the soil slightly moist, water when the top 1/3 of the soil is dry and mist leaves often! Alocasia love humidity! If your plant is parched, it’ll let you know with sagging leaves.
