Time for a trim? Not for this fuzzy member of the succulent family. This variety of kalanchoe is covered in tiny hairs that might almost qualify it as a “furry friend” - it's no wonder that its other nickname is the Panda Plant. When receiving ample light these plants are relatively easy to care for, but like most succulents are sensitive to overwatering.
LOCATION & LIGHT:
Kalanchoe will grow their best in BRIGHT DIRECT LIGHT, but will also survive in BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT. South-facing or West-facing windows make ideal homes for these water-retaining plants.
WATER:
Like cacti, succulents thrive in gritty, dry soil. They’re sustained largely through the water retained by their leaves, and thus need less frequent water than many other plants. This species won’t tolerate excess moisture, so allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
