PHILODENDRON BRASIL 6" Grower Pot
This variegated sibling of the classic Philodendron Cordatum is set apart by the lime-coloured stripe running down the centre of its heart-shaped leaves. Naturally found growing up tree trunks and across the ground in tropical rainforests, these plants grow well as both trailers and climbers. If you’d like to encourage upward growth, give your Philodendron Brasil some added support with a stake - we recommend a coconut coir pole.
LOCATION AND LIGHT:
Philodendron Brasil will grow optimally in BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT, but can also adapt to MEDIUM INDIRECT LIGHT. Prolonged periods of direct sun may lead to scorched leaves. Place this plant close to a North-facing or East-facing window, or 5-10 feet removed from a South-facing or West-facing window. Variegation will be most pronounced when exposed to longer amounts of bright indirect light!
Give your Philodendron a thorough drink when the top 2-3 inches of soil have dried out. Like most tropical house plants Philodendron can be sensitive to overwatering, so when in doubt err on the side of caution and give your plant a little more time to dry. Allow excess water to drain from the soil to prevent root rot!
