With its large, otherworldly foliage, Colocasia Black Ripella is a statement plant to say the least. The puckered purple leaves of this plant may appear alien, but they’re right at home here on earth in BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT.
This plant is toxic to pets.
LOCATION AND LIGHT:
Colocasia prefer BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT, and will not tolerate low light conditions. Direct sun will burn the leaves. These plants will do well when pulled back a few feet from the direct exposure of South-facing or West-facing windows, or placed more closely to an East-facing window.
WATER:
Colocasia prefer a relatively humid environment. Regular misting will benefit these plants, as well as watering thoroughly when the first inch of soil is dry. These plants are not drought tolerant.
