CALADIUM POISON DART FROG 4" Grower Pot

With it's not-so-subtle red speckling, it's clear where the Caladium 'Poison Dart Frog' got it's name.

LOCATION AND LIGHT:

Similar to the majority of its Alocasia cousins, Caladium are best suited to BRIGHT INDIRECT light. The leaves of this plant are somewhat delicate and may scorch if exposed to prolonged direct sun. Caladium will not tolerate low light. East-facing and West-facing windows provide ideal light for this species.

WATER:

Caladium are humidity lovers and will benefit from regular misting. Evenly moist soil is ideal, and these plants appreciate a thorough watering when the first 1-2 inches of soil is dry to the touch. Allow excess water to drain to prevent root rot!

It's perfectly normal for Caladium leaves to die back during the winter. You can prune them off and leave the roots and tubers in the soil unwatered for the remainder of the winter season. In the spring/ summer once the container has fully re-sprouted, you can begin to water the soil again.
