Native to Colombia, Philodendron hastatum gets it's nickname 'Silver Sword' from it's glossy, almost mirror-like foliage that unravels as a silvery-green and deepens to a darker blue hue as it matures. This plant, though uncommon, is just as easy to care for as others in its family.
Something to climb on, like a moss or coir pole, is highly recommended for this plant.
LOCATION & LIGHT:
Prefers bright indirect light, from and East, West or South facing window. Avoid direct sunlight, as the plant will burn.
WATER:
Philodendron like their soil to dry down slightly between waterings, so water when the soil is dry 2/3 from the top.
