The purple passion vine (Gynura aurantiaca) is known for its velvety purple leaves. This plant grows as a vine and is suitable for hanging baskets or can train on a shelf. Native to Indonesia and Java, the purple passion plant prefers BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT.

LOCATION & LIGHT:

The purple passion plant likes bright, indirect light. While tolerant of medium - low light conditions, the plant prefers living near an east or west-facing window. The natural environment for this plant is underneath a tree canopy with no exposure to direct sun, so these plants like diffused bright light. This plant will burn with too much direct sunlight.

WATER:

They prefer soil that is moderately moist and should be allowed to dry out about halfway between waterings. Typically, you shouldn't have to water your plant more than once every 7-10 days.
