Now this is a cool plant. Also known as the Mediterranean Dwarf Palm, this humidity loving beauty is known for its glorious fan-shaped fronds that grow up to 2 feet wide in shades of blue-green and silver-green. This species is an exciting addition for collectors of all experience levels.

NOTE: Thorns on the trunk necessitate care when handling. Please exercise care when bringing this species into a home with children or pets.

LOCATION & LIGHT:

European Fan palms do best with at least four hours of direct sunlight daily but can adapt to spots with partial shade. We recommend placing directly in front of a South or West window to avoid the plant becoming leggy over time.

WATER:

Fan Palm grown indoors require consistent moisture, but never soggy soil. Check the soil levels often and water deeply when the soil is dry 2-3" down. Allow the plant soil to dry out a little more in the winter than in the summer. A daily mist of water helps to keep humidity levels high. If frond tips become brown, the humidity is too low.
